About Us
The company was established in August 1999 as a distribution service focused on the specialist metals industry by a management team with extensive experience in high volume distribution.
By 2005 a fully functioning 60.000 sq/ft warehousing facility, catering for mass steel coils, large plate and long delicate products, was launched to complement and expand upon the existing services.
Committed to both innovation and service in 2006, Perkins continued to invest in specialist metal handling equipment and services; including the development and patent of a unique, in transit product protection, stillage system, with a proven track record of reducing damage and handling costs to delicate and critical finished products.
In 2007 a customer visible, total fleet tracking system was made available as part of this ongoing development process.
Now celebrating 10 years of customer services, Perkins has plans to introduce in mid 2009, a groupage service dedicated to small quantity long products.
